    Rick Olivieri has worked in the technology industry for more than 25 years, and held positions at Digital Equipment Corporation, NEC, Telco Systems Fiber Optics, Motorola Internet and Networking Group, Vanguard Managed Solutions, 3Com, and HP Networking before taking the role of Global Channel Marketing Director at Ciena. Over the last 10 years Rick has focused on developing national account marketing, vertical marketing, and channel partner marketing programs working closely with field sales and customers. Rick has entrenched himself in industries such as Education, Healthcare, Utilities and Retail to help end users understand the value of network application enablement.

    Rick spends time seeking input from customers; CIO's, CTO's and sales partners to understand the business practices and technologies they rely upon to remain successful. He uses this knowledge to feed design and development priorities to product marketing staff, and plays a major role in development of new managed service solutions targeted to enterprise verticals. Rick attends many related trade events, and has appeared and been a featured speaker at the NMA, NRF, and FETC conferences.
