Our CPA roadshows are unlike other events for CPAs as they are focused on issues like sales, marketing and business development. At each event, you’ll hear from other CPAs (not marketing agencies) how they are effectively marketing their firms, the sales initiatives they are undertaking and new business opportunities they are embracing to grow new revenue streams from existing and new clients. There is no cost for attendees – we even provide a fabulous dinner!

An eight-year veteran of Abila, Neil Taurins helps association, nonprofit, and government professionals find the necessary tools to manage their finances and fundraising efforts, so they can focus on what really matters – their mission. As Director of Sales, Neil is responsible for both direct and indirect sales channels and has even qualified for Abila’s elite President’s Circle. Neil is highly skilled at working effectively cross-functionally, which makes him an expert in channel engagement. In addition to working with a variety of nonprofits through Abila, Neil is a member of Texas Humane Heroes and is a past president of Toastmasters.

Chris Frederiksen

Chris Christian Frederiksen came to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1961.  He joined Touche Ross & Co. in 1969, and was elected a partner in 1973, one of the youngest in the firm.  Chris lectures and conducts seminars throughout the world.  He is well known in professional circles for his seminar, How to Build a Million Dollar Practice, an intensive marketing seminar for CPAs.  Chris has been named among the 100 Most Influential People in the Accounting Profession by Accounting Today. He has also been inducted into the Accountants Hall of Fame and one of 25 Thought Leaders by CPA Practice Advisor. He practices with his wife Tara in Corte Madera.

Paula Saidy

Senior Manager, Business Enterprise Service Team

Paula Saidy works in BPM's Business Enterprise Service Team (BEST) consulting practice. She focuses on helping small to mid-level companies with systems implementation, business process automation, CFO advisory, and outsourcing as well as developing new business and conducting internal training for BEST staff. She has over 15 years experience in private industry and public accounting including nonprofit organizations, real estate, retail, manufacturing, construction, and service corporations. She has extensive experience with building dashboards, budgeting and projections, operations analysis, office administration, developing accounting and government compliance, risk management and developed financial and accounting reporting procedures.

Allen Douglas

Managing Principal 

Allen Douglass, CPA is the Managing Principal at ALTIUS. ALTIUS is a CPA firm dedicated to bringing large firm services to small business owners and entrepreneurs through the use of cloud-based technology. Allen has worked in regional CPA firms and national tax consulting firms for over 12 years. Allen’s current focus is preparing ALTIUS for growth and helping to fill a technology gap in the small business advisory landscape. Allen continues to manage other ventures in the space along with maintaining his expertise in complex US business tax incentives by providing consulting, strategy and expert witness testimony for large businesses and specialty firms.

Bill Sefton

William Lee Sefton, CPA

William (Bill) Lee Sefton, CPA first starting teaching the 'ins and outs' of having a home-based business in 1979. He has continued to successfully prepare and defend home based income tax returns before the Internal Revenue Services, for almost 40 years. Bill has worked within the headquarters of public corporations like Wells Fargo Bank and Safeway Stores, for the international accounting firms of KPMG and EY. As a CPA, defending IRS audits, he learned very early to appreciate the value of accounting, auditing, and documentation.

With over 18 years’ experience in design and marketing, Jennifer Cantero specializes in marketing strategy, social media, and branding for small to medium size, privately-held businesses. Currently, Jennifer is the Head of Marketing for the regional accounting firm, Sensiba San Filippo where she built their social media program from the ground up. Sought after for her expertise related to personal branding and internet presence, she was recently awarded “Most Instrumental Woman in Accountancy Business Development – USA” by Wealth and Finance’s Women in Wealth Awards.

Kevin Cumley

Sage Intacct Accountants Program

Kevin Cumley is Director of the Intacct Accountants Program where he is responsible for managing the BPO / outsourcing channel in partnership with (an AICPA company).  He started his career in public accounting during the 1980’s implementing the first generation of PC based accounting systems for small to mid-sized organizations. Kevin then founded and was President of Forepoint, an award-winning reseller of accounting software which over the next 20 years became one of the largest and most successful VAR’s in North America and was consistently ranked as a Top 100 firm.  For several years prior to joining Intacct he was an executive with Avectra (now Abila) developing and building programs for channel partners and the CPA industry.

Cristina Martin Greysman is SAP North America’s Vice President, Ecosystem Expansion and a proven channel sales and partner programs leader with extensive experience creating new revenue opportunities for technology companies. Cristina’s 20-year career spans both startups and Corporate America in the Philadelphia region, specializing in business development, strategic alliances, and partner program development. She is based in Newtown Square, PA. Cristina is an advocate for women pursuing careers in the technology industry. Cristina speaks on the topic of “Dream IT” and serves as Vice Chair for the Advancing Women in Technology community at CompTIA, the IT industry association.

Mark Magel

Mark Magel joined SD Mayer & Associates, LLP in 2015 as the Chief Technology Officer and Director of Cloud and Netsuite Services. In this role, Mark is responsible for all technology-related services for SDM and its clients. In his capacity as CTO, he works closely with the leadership team to ensure alignment and achievement of the firm’s financial, operational and strategic objectives. Before joining SDM, Mark served in a number of leadership and technology-related roles, including tenure with Mitchell International, Ensera, Esurance and AIG. Most recently, he was vice president of finance and business transformation at Mondee Inc., a GTCR portfolio company providing technology solutions to the travel industry.
